Practice turns love and mutual attraction into unconditional, mature love where the fear of revealing yourself is alleviated by the certainty of being accepted for who you are. It is a continual process of experiencing the joy of connection while living the life each of us wants for ourselves. The hardest thing to do is to start because we think the love bond is strong enough and our belief in the other person is so powerful to sustain a marriage. Besides, getting help is often seen as weakness because we believe we can handle things by ourselves. It is as if we think our relationship is so unique that no one else can help us make it any better until what we have been doing no longer works for us. It's like believing we can find auto insurance after an accident. Our work here at TCFM is, in part, to nudge you to consider something other than what you believe to be true, that you may not be right or in control of all the things pertinent to a great relationship and that you allow your partner to be equal to you.
